Dr. Hardies grew up in Ogallala, Nebraska and moved with his family to Gretna, Nebraska in 1995. He graduated from Gretna High School in 1997 and attended the University of Nebraska—Lincoln where he majored in Athletic Training. In 1999 Dr. Hardies was given the privilege of being named as a student athletic trainer for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department. He spent 3 years as a member of the Husker Athletic Medicine team including stints with the Swimming and Diving, Wrestling, and Football teams which included a trip as a member of the Athletic Medicine team to the 2002 Rose Bowl in Pasadena, CA. Dr. Hardies’ athletic training duties also extended to assisting with events of other UNL sports teams including Men’s and Women’s Basketball, Track and Field, Men’s and Women’s Gymnastics, Cheerleading, and Volleyball. He also acted as the team athletic trainer for the University of Nebraska Club Baseball team on which he was also both a player and a coach. In 2001, Dr. Hardies served as the Medical Director for the University of Nebraska / Mark Manning Wrestling Camps. In 2002, Dr. Hardies graduated from the University of Nebraska—Lincoln with a Bachelor of Science in Education. In 2003 Dr. Hardies entered Palmer College of Chiropractic and excelled as a Dean’s List student. In February of 2006, Dr. Hardies traveled with a group of doctors and students from the three Palmer Campuses to Fes, Morocco where the provided a free clinic in the small mountain village of Moulay Yacoub. He was able to complete his requirements early and take an preceptorship position with Dr. Brad Stauffer in Gretna, Nebraska. Dr. Hardies graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in June of 2006. Dr. Hardies and his wife Jacque were married on March 17, 2006 and live in Gretna. They have a wonderful son named August, who was born September 17, 2008. They are active in their church and enjoy golfing, home improvement, and playing with their toy fox terrier, Ernie. |
